Outreach
We Travel. We Hike. We Enjoy. We Help! - that's our slogan for
Lamyerda Outreach. This is a group of adventurous individuals who are
engaged in traveling and mountaineering. It's primary objective is to
create a bridge that connects the people with golden heart and the less
fortunate who needs help. Our goal is to spread the essence of "giving back what we received" and our priority is EDUCATION. If you are interested to help or donate, please email: darwinfdalisay@gmail.com
Photo above was taken during our "Sapin sa Paa, Balik Eskwela"
Program held at Brgy. North Uyao, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro. I consider
this as a successful event because I was able to see the happiness and
joy on the faces of those more than 30 beneficiaries. I noticed tears of
the parents while we were having our conversation during the event.
Wewen of Lamyerda said: "Pasensya na po kayo, ito lang muna ang makakaya
naming ibigay sa mga anak nyo." One of the mothers replied: "Okay lang,
malaking tulong na po yan sa amin." Then the tears of the lady fell.

A Walk to Remember Project
A Walk to Remember Project was held at Brgy. Tampayan, Sibuyan
Island, Romblon. It was conducted and joined by six mountaineers from
Manila and a traveller from Switzerland. Original plan was to hike Mt.
Guiting-guiting, as requested by the locals, we brought more than 50
slippers and prepared them with a sumptuous pancit and sandwich. More

Kanlungan ni Maria is a Filipino word which literally means
Maria's shelter. It is an institution that deals with the elderly;
focusing on the health, food and other personal necessities of all the
members. It was opened in 2002, through Father Daryl and with the help
of his friends. Our group created a program to bring happiness and entertain our Lolos and Lolas, who were our beneficiary. More photos here: Kanlungan ni Maria.
One of our group mates visited Nagsasa Cove to enjoy the beauty
of nature, but due to unpredictable weather condition, they were trapped
by a typhoon. All of them were not so prepared to handle that
situation, but a tribe member called aeta, opened their hands and
helped them. Because of that unforgettable experience, our group
decided to give back what they did to our friend. We visited and brought
schools supplies to these less fortunate residents of Sitio Cawag
Rettlement in Subic, Zambales. In total, there were 50 children who
received these supplies. Read our story here: Pass Muna sa Hiking, Go sa Helping.
Let's NOT WAIT for the government to help them!
