BORACAY ISLAND | Solo-backpacking to the World's Finest
Boracay Island is one of the best
beaches in the world, that’s according to the travel agencies, websites, blogs,
magazines and other people’s reviews and I can say “yes it is one of the best!.”
The fine, white sand at the shoreline can be compared to a fine table salt,
actually others said, that it’s like a baby powder. The pristine, crystalline water is really adorable,
as it serves as a mirror of the blue skies with cirrus clouds on it. The reflection is like a painting of Michelangelo,
as the blue water and skies forming a horizon, parallel to the shoreline.
The splash of the water sounds like an orchestra; with bass, tenor, alto and the soprano joined together for a coastal concert. As the wind blows the palm leaves, it creates a great vibrato combined with harmony. The coconuts were like the dancers of the orchestra.

The shadows of the trees are like
a Christmas trees on the white sand. The
moment is like a scene during winter, as the sand compared to the pure snow on
the ground. In noon time, while the sun
is shining brightly, the shore is like a white curve line that serves like a
ground of the playing waves while in high tide.
Boracay Island is just a small
area of Malay, Aklan, but can be compared to a continent that contains
different nationalities. Local dialect, Filipino, English (different accents,)
Portuguese, Spanish, Korean and Chinese can be heard in different part of this
island. Because of its natural beauty,
this island can be considered as the second home of many foreign people.
Business establishments are owned
by the foreign businessmen, based on their establishment’s name. Few meters from the shoreline is a long
street with stores, boutiques, restaurants and other business establishments
are located. D*Mall is a large area which is
composed of shops, restaurants and other establishments that provide different
products and services.
Outdoor and exciting activities
under the sun can be found in this gorgeous island. On the shoreline or just along the street,
locals are offering these activities, like: jet skiing, snorkeling, kayaking,
helmet diving, scuba diving, para-sailing and sailing (good during sunset.) Henna tattoo’s is a must try while you’re in
this island for affordable prices. But, be informed that some resorts adds an
additional charge if your henna tattoo stuck on the fabrics on your bed.
Another attraction will be the
golden sunset, which converts the blue skies into gold. The sun is playing with darkness as the
evening comes. The shadows of the dunes
on the sand add a great effect with my camera.
The sailing vintas are like following the horizon and are adding a great
image while the sun is saying goodbye. The
people were all standing, facing the sunset, and capturing the perfect moment!
