Mt. Binacayan | Day Hike
The Trails | The first part is walking on an easy terrain located in locals private lots. These lots serve as a farmland, where bananas, veggies, lemon grass and others are cultivated. Since it's a dry season, the trail was slippery because of the dust and dry soil.
The Trails | After the easy to moderate terrain on locals property, second part would be rock scrambling. This part is much challenging and tough; hikers needs to hop on and off the sharp boulders with cliff on both sides. Grip and balance are needed. Using gloves is highly recommended.
The Summit | The time that I stepped on the summit, I was really amazed by what I saw; the super green surroundings, the snake like river that separates Pamitinan to Binacayan, the tiny cottages from afar, the mountain ranges that look like a shadow and give shapes to the horizon. I also felt the fresh cool breeze and I heard the voices of the people who were dipping and bathing by the river.
